God's way

Ps 27:4: "One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His temple."

Perfect day

Another perfect day. It’s so funny to think that all the days are perfect, especially when we had a “crappy day”. Even when i have a bad day, God saves people. Last year in February, i woke up one morning and started praying. I found myself praising God for all the people He was going to save that day. I was surprised, but i really love it when God puts it in my heart to pray about things. So i prayed that for a couple of days. After half a year, i meet this girl, Betsy, at a Bible study. She tells us the amazing story about how she got saved. It was in February. I go home and remember the strange prayer that came out of my heart a while back. Sometimes i pray for people i think i will never know or see again, like when driving by an accident, or when hearing an ambulance pass by in the neighborhood. And i’m thinking how will God’s glory be displayed in my life through my prayer if i’ll never find out what happened to those people. Then i remember Betsy and Rom 11:33-35.

Today was one of my Chinese friends’ birthday. He’s not a Christian and we have invited him to church once but he hasn’t come yet. He looks like a really nice guy and Diana keeps trying to talk to him about God. So Diana and Paul (who are leading international students ministry in our church) had a surprise party for him and we were all there. When he blew the candles on his cake, they told him to make a wish. I also made a wish that he would be saved.

I also spent a lovely Saturday afternoon with Carroll. The weather was gorgeous. We went to the park and talked about answered prayer. Actually we talked about a lot of things, but looking back i think that was the center of our conversation. I’m so thankful that God created us to be friends, to lift each other up in our faith, to draw closer to God together, to get to know Him together. I’m thankful for true, meaningful Christian friendship, for friends that not only help me understand the will of God, but that also correct me and confront me when they think i am wrong.

Just a perfect day.

Yes,it,s amazing what God can do in the lives of people for whom we pray.
He actually wants us to pray for each other and for people to be saved.
I heard a sermon of a Romanian christian pastor,Richard Wurmbrand, who was actually a Romanian Jew converted to Christ, actually an amazing mixture, but one great man and considered to be one of the greatest martyrs of the 20th century, because of his suffering in the communist prisons for many years.
He said in that sermon that he once was invited to preach in India,in front of a few thousand people, immediately after the romanian anticomunist revolution,in 1990.And he asked the crowd:please raise your hand, those who have prayed for Romania. And he was speechless how many hands rose:all those people have been praying for a distant country,on another continent,a country that has very little in common with their country!
What great brotherhood in Christ!
What hearts those people have and how great the plan of God is to unite such remote nations in common prayer!
I am sure their prayers helped a lot the romanian revolution.

By the way,I am glad you had such a perfect day!
